About Us
Sparkle Society Arts is a women and queer led social enterprise focused on brightening the days of audiences, one small moment at a time. All profit made from commercial contracts is fed directly back into the company to provide reduced-fee or fee-free artistic experiences and to fund our artist development initiatives.
Our founders Ambrose Kelso and Latonya Wigginton met as youth circus students over 15 years ago. Their love of circus, particularly for the scope in circus for expressing individuality, breaking down gender stereotypes and cross-genre experimentation, inspired them pursue artistic careers and build a joint practice focused on spreading the joy of performing. Their award-winning, flagship production, Cab Suave, toured extensively across the East coast of Australia and has been seen by 10,000+ audience members. Not only in major cities but also across rural and regional Victoria and New South Wales.
Performing in car parks and heritage listed halls Sparkle Society Arts aims to share stories that uplift and inspire Australians and take art out of major theatres into community venues.
Through Sparkle Society Entertainment we provide performances for events large and small and through our children’s branch, Cheeky Faces Entertainment we supply face painting and balloon twisting as well as interactive entertainment such as bubble play stations and pop-up circus workshops.
